Jason Raidbard is currently serving the Executive Administrator for the University of Chicago’s Ophthalmology and Visual Science Department.
Jason has a passion for improving systems, processes, patient care outcomes, and culture. One of Jason’s key principles is ensuring that his staff, physicians, and patients are all part of an engaged culture that ensures inclusion, integrity, and transparency.
With over 20 years of experience in healthcare operations, strategy, and finance, Jason has helped both private medical groups, community based health systems, and now in an academic healthcare setting, improve employee engagement scores, patient satisfaction metrics, quality scores, and financial results.
Jason graduated with a Bachelor’s in Politics Lake Forest College in 2000. He completed his Master’s in Public Administration Northern Illinois University in 2010. Jason also earned his Lean Six Sigma White Belt with the University of Illinois in 2012, he became MGMA Certified Medical Practice Executive in 2015. Jason also holds a certification as a High Reliability Trainer with Press Ganey in 2018 and became a Fellow with the American College of Medical Practice Executives in 2022.
In his spare time Jason enjoys travel, cooking, gardening, hiking, as well as spending time with family and friends. Some of his favorite travel destinations include Turks and Caicos, Tahiti, and any National Park west of the Mississippi.
Jason gives back to those in his community by serving as a Plan Commissioner for the Village of New Lenox. Jason also gives back by serving as an Alumni Mentor to students at Lake Forest College and as a Healthcare Leadership Mentor with MGMA. Jason is currently serving a one year term as the Illinois Legislative Liaison with ILMGMA.
