VP HR Operations & Total Rewards

Patty currently serves as the VP HR Operations and Total Rewards for Baystate Health, an integrated academic health system that has 13,000 employees—including 700+ employed physicians—4 hospitals, and 80 medical practices. Patty is responsible for overseeing and developing strategy for a full spectrum of HR service areas, including Compensation, Benefits, Workforce Planning and Analytics, the Workday HR Management System, Employee Health and Wellness, Leave Management, Talent Acquisition and Provider Recruitment. One of Patty’s main goals is ensuring the design of comprehensive HR programs to enable the organization to attract, retain and motivate team members at all levels. Her consistent evaluation of industry changes, trends, and best practices in HR and clinical service delivery is a cornerstone to her role at Baystate Health.
Patty is certified in Strategic Workforce Planning and is a licensed RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts holding both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, in Amherst. With more than 30 years’ experience in a nursing, healthcare operations, and HR leadership and practice, Patty has a 360-degree understanding of both the clinical and administrative sides of the healthcare.
Patty sits on the Board of Directors for the MassHire Hampden County Workforce Board, Springfield, MA. She is active in both the Organization of Nurse Leaders (ONL)—MA, RI, NH, CT, VT—and the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association, previously holding board seats at both organizations.
Patty lives in West Springfield with her husband, TJ, and Golden Retriever, Harrison.
