Matthew Stedman is a health care administration professional with more than a decade of experience in overseeing the daily financial and administrative operations of health care organizations. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Austin in December 2003 and earned a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 2010.
He began his career in health care administration in August 2007, joining the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System in San Antonio, Texas. As Director of Cardiovascular Services at the New Braunfels Campus from February 2012 to April 2013, he directed all operations for the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital’s Cardiovascular Center.
In April 2013, he joined Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston/San Antonio, Texas, as Director of Business Operations. In this position, he served as Administrator for BCM at The Children's Hospital of San Antonio (CH of SA). His duties included planning, coordinating, and directing the financial and administrative functions for BCM pediatric and surgical programs at CH of SA.
In August 2018, he joined UT Health San Antonio as the Administrator for the Primary Care Center (PCC), which includes seven outpatient clinics, over fifty clinicians (Advanced Practice Providers, Behavioral Health Consultants, and Physicians), and support staff. In 2021, he also assumed the role of Administrator of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Health San Antonio while maintaining his PCC leadership responsibilities.
