This session will review if a work-from-home employment model could work for your practice in this challenging world of poor staffing availability and increased expenses. What steps should be taken to decide which job positions can be performed at home? Attendees will learn how to address workflow changes from on-site to off-site employees, and the impact these changes could have on recruiting, morale and communication with staff and physicians, as well as what technology, equipment, IT and HR challenges should be considered. The speaker will share lessons learned from her own work-from-home policy that has resulted in one-third of her workforce working from home.
Learning Objectives:
Discover which positions can be considered as work-from-home positions
Produce a transition plan for employees and workflow from in-office to off-site
Use the right equipment, IT and HR policies needed for off-site employees
